Block party held on Lombard Road

UPDATED, Oct. 3: Arlington resident Mari Megias invited the public to a block party on Lombard Road, where it was held Saturday, Oct. 2, from 1 to 7 p.m.

She wrote: "No Porchfest this year? No problem! Join us for a day of live music and refreshments for Lombard Road's annual(ish) block party.

"Bring the kids, bring your friends and family, and let's celebrate life before we all go into lockdown again (thanks, Delta) ....!"

The lineup includes (times approximate):

1 p.m., Rich Murphy with surprise guest ...

2, Coffee to Cocktails

3, Justine's Black Threads

4, Cold Expectations

5, Midnight Floyd (Thomas Gutermuth)

This event proceeded with good weather, and Covid case counts in Arlington didi not rise precipitously.
